Even for Hollywood it’s hard to avoid the claims of gender or age bias or being accused of racism in there casting. This is way it’s important to do a data driven analysis of this claims and then go from there, this is what authors of this article aims to do.

With diligence and attention to detail, they meticulously matched each script to the corresponding actors and actresses who brought the story to life on the big screen. After this exhaustive effort, they were left with a pool of 2000 screenplays, all set and ready to be subjected to further analysis.

From my research about this article I found out that all of this data comes from a variety of different sources. The publisher have written a small article, giving all the details of their data sources.
